(in English)
THEATRONs inaugural production, may
be repeated in various theatres throughout the country. This
heartwarming, funny and poignant play is about a Greek Immigrant family
living in Newark, New Jersey, during the 30s and 40s. Eighty-year-old
John, reminisces about himself, his family, and the trials and tribulations
he and his siblings went through as they tried to preserve Papas and
Mamas ideas and traditions, while growing up in a world different from
the one at home. Seven actors portray forty characters in this feel
good play
for the entire family.

(S)CARECROW (THE MUSICAL)
(In English)
Carecrow is all about caring. Originally written in Greek by Eugene Trivizas,
its a play magnificently translated into English by William Moy Russell,
in a language children can understand and adults can delight over. The characters
are lovable, and, where necessary, not so lovable, but always colorful. Already
a successful play in its Greek version, its a beautiful work, now ably
put to music by Stavros Papastavrou, to complete a musical, which is truly
for the entire family.

TA MORA TA FERNEI O PELARGOS
(in Greek and in its English translation by Loukas N. Skipitaris
with title "Special Delivery.")
This play, written by Thanasis Papathanasiou and Mihalis Reppas, will play
its second season to packed houses, in Greece, this fall. Set in Thessaloniki,
during the years of the German occupation, it deals with two couples that inhabit
the house of an unexpected escapee, Jacob, from a German concentration camp.
Jacob, is the owner of the house. Infertile husbands, meddlesome neighbors,
a series of hide and seek scenes, make this tender comedy an optimistic paean
to life.
