(An adaptation of John Kallas’ short stories “Growing up as a Greek American”
with original material by Loukas N. Skipitaris)

This heartwarming, funny and poignant play is about a Greek Immigrant family living in Newark, New Jersey, during the 30’s and 40’s. Eighty-year-old John, reminisces about himself, his family, and the trials and tribulations he and his siblings went through as they tried to preserve Papa’s and Mama’s ideas and traditions, while growing up in a world “different” from the one at home. Seven actors portray forty characters in this “feel good” play for the entire family.
